Other Practice-Related Resources
A variety of practice-related resources outside of HBS are available.
- The school's Office of Public Health Practice and Training provides a variety of practice-related resources for students, faculty and staff, and public health professionals around the world.
- At the school-wide level, the Student Outreach Resource Center (SOURCE) helps provide students with multiple community service opportunities in Baltimore, as well as the Public Health Applications for Student Experience (PHASE) internship, a non-paid, for-credit internship program sponsored in partnership with the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DHMH) and the Mid-Atlantic Public Health Training Center (MAPHTC).
- SOURCE has finalized a series of three online modules that help to prepare individuals to work with communities. Faculty who teach service-learning courses will require students to complete the modules before partnering with a community. Each module includes a quiz at the end; certificates of completion can then be shared with faculty/TA's as proof of completion. To access the modules, visit: www.jhsph.edu/SOURCE/Online-Modules.
- The Johnson and Johnson Community Health Scholars Program matches selected doctoral students from the Bloomberg School and the School of Nursing for two years to provide expertise and gain experience in program monitoring and evaluation.
