Office of Student Affairs
Mission Statement for Baltimore
The mission of Student Affairs at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is to foster student learning by providing exceptional programs and services through an integrated team effort. This is achieved by promoting respect, integrity, collaboration with the University community, and a commitment to the needs of a diverse population. The Office is committed to encouraging students in Baltimore to pursue public health as a career and ultimately to recruiting them as students.
We plan to visit area high schools during the academic year to provide a basic understanding of public health and careers in public health. We plan to start these visits in November.
Office of Student Affairs Baltimore Project: Outreach to Students
The Office of Student Affairs will lead an effort, involving staff and faculty, to introduce Baltimore city high school students to the field of public health. This will involve talks in the high schools, and we will continue to offer visits for area high school students as demand warrants.
