Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Video Receives Telly Award

Lee Bone from "My Life is My Arguement"

My Life is My Argument, an 11-minute video about the works of the Baltimore Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Program, is a winner of the prestigious Silver Telly Award. The award, which is the highest honor of excellence for local, regional television commercials and non-broadcast videos, was given to Michael Ivan Schwartz of Loud Communication, the producer of the video.

The video’s title, My Life is My Argument, is a quote from Albert Schweitzer, the famed humanitarian who dedicated his life to helping others. The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Program aids graduate students and develops programs to serve Baltimore’s vulnerable populations. Now in its sixth year, it has served 40-plus community-based organizations with more than 75 fellows from Johns Hopkins’ schools of Public Health, Medicine and Nursing; the University of Maryland’s schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work and Law; Morgan State University; and the College of Notre Dame’s Geriatric Program. Fellows create their own projects and volunteer more than 200 hours during the course of a year. The program is directed by Lee Bone, MPH, BSN, associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.—Tim Parsons
