The Johns Hopkins Center for Public Health Preparedness

In working to enhance public health system competency, capacity and public health workers’ willingness to effectively respond to emergencies, the Johns Hopkins Public Health Preparedness Programs (JHPHPP) supports both training and research efforts in these areas.

The Johns Hopkins Center for Public Health Preparedness (JH~CPHP) has developed a variety of training and academic opportunities that include:

  • Face-to-face preparedness symposia at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and throughout the region
  • The Road Map to Preparedness, designed to address the specialized needs and issues faced by state and local health departments
  • A preparedness certificate for degree- and non-degree-seeking students.

Activities offered through the entire Center for Public Health Preparedness network may be found at the Public Health Preparedness Resource Center maintained by the Association of Schools of Public Health. This free online catalog provides learning opportunities with courses and training activities, tools, and educational programs.
