Scholarship aid is awarded by the department and/or program that authorizes your acceptance into a degree program at the School. The Financial Aid Office does not award scholarships to students. Master of Public Health (MPH) The Bloomberg School of Public Health awards tuition scholarships on a highly competitive basis to a small portion of the full-time students in the incoming class. All applications accepted for the full-time MPH program are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Your admission materials serve as your scholarship application. Master's Tuition Scholarship (MTS) Upon the recommendation of the departmental chairperson or his/her designee, a Master's Tuition Scholarship (MTS) worth up to 75% of the School's tuition is available to eligible Master of Science (ScM), Master of Health Science (MHS), Master of Health Administration (MHA), and Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) students enrolled in their second year of study. A scholarship award of less than 75% will be made when some other form of tuition support is available to the student. Receipt of this scholarship is limited to four academic terms. Students enrolled in a program of less than eight terms will be limited to one, two, or three terms of MTS as determined by their academic program. Postdoctoral Scholarship A Postdoctoral Scholarship is available to an eligible student upon the recommendation of the departmental chairperson or his/her designee. The value of this scholarship is equal to 100% of the School's tuition rate or a lesser amount when some other form of support is available to the student. International Health: Departmental funding School-wide funding Mental Health: Some doctoral and postdoctoral training is funded under NIMH-funded Psychiatric Epidemiology, Children's Mental Health Services and Service Systems, Prevention Training Programs, and NIDA-funded Drug Dependence Epidemiology Programs.
