Funding Databases

This list of databases is intended to be a resource to assist students in indentifying appropriate funding opportunities, however this list is not exhaustive.  Students may pursue funding opportunities identified through other resources.  For assistance with any funding questions, please contact the Student Funding Resources Office at sfr@jhsph.edu.

Information for International Students   

Search JHSPH Databases

The Student Funding Resources database contains funding opportunities pertinent to public health.  Opportunities for graduate students include fellowships, dissertation grants, and travel grants.  There are also postdoctoral and career development opportunities.  Funding opportunities for faculty included in the database are generally those that require School- or University-wide coordination or those that the School has been specifically invited to apply for.

Maintained by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, it contains records on over 7,900 federal and non-federal funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. 

Maintained by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, this database contains funding opportunities for training in the Biological and Medical Sciences.

This database contains funding opportunities for scientific research.

Comprised of three broad categories: links, both direct and annotated, to nearly 900 grantmaker Websites; highlights and excerpts from the Center's research on foundation giving; and a range of informational materials produced by individual foundations and hosted by the Center as part of its "Foundation Folder" program.
