Summer Institute

The Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy will hold “Principles and Practice of Injury Prevention” on June 10-13, 2012 in Baltimore, MD.  For those considering attending, please register by April 27.  If we do not meet our minimum required enrollment by April 27, the Institute will be cancelled.

Please note that the Summer Institute will not be held in 2013.

Here’s what people are saying about the Summer Institute - Principles & Practice of Injury Prevention:

“The Summer Institute provided information and training which greatly enhanced my critical thinking skills in the development, implementation, and evaluation of injury prevention interventions.” Gary L. Ragen

“I highly recommend taking this course prior to writing a grant or if one is thrust into a new position as an Injury Prevention Coordinator.  The sessions are vital to one running a successful program utilizing a logic model as your “GPS.”  Kudos to all of the outstanding instructors!”  Beverly Byron, MSN, LNC

“Every Injury Prevention Coordinator should take this course.  It will make your job easier to understand in relation to expectations and outcomes of Injury Prevention Programs.”  Theresa Baker, BSN

Note: Application pending for CHES continuing education credit.

She rates the experience as one of the best continuing education opportunities she has had as a practicing public health professional. Spohn spreads the injury prevention message by integrating it throughout the health department system, helping to make her state safer.
