Overview
Stephen Teret is a Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, with joint faculty appointments in the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Pediatrics. He currently directs the Center for Law and the Public's Health, and previously directed the Center for Gun Policy and Research, and the Center for Injury Research and Policy.  Teret's research interests include: the use of the law as a tool for protecting the public's health; obesity prevention policy; vaccine policy; law and bioterrorism; the policy and epidemiology of firearm injury prevention; general injury prevention policy; alcohol and injuries; advocacy for the public's health.
