DrPH in Mental Health
The DrPH is a school-wide advanced professional degree program designed for the student who has a Master of Public Health (MPH) or its equivalent and who intends to pursue a leadership career in the professional practice of public health.
The focus of the DrPH program in the Department of Mental Health is concentrated on integration and application of a broad range of knowledge and analytical skills in leadership, practice, policy analysis, program and budget management, and communication. An emphasis is placed on the practice of public health sciences and the application of behavioral and social science perspectives to contemporary mental health problems.
Components of the program include multidisciplinary course work, structured seminars, special studies and practicum, and a doctoral dissertation relevant to the practice of public mental health. Students may complete the DrPH program on either a full-time or part-time basis. Please review the DrPH curriculum.
