Health, Behavior and Society

Students

The Department of Health, Behavior and Society hosts students from all over the nation and around the world—each contributing in a unique way to a dynamic learning environment on the leading edge of science and practice.

In addition to the rich social, cultural and academic activities in Baltimore, the Bloomberg School's proximity to other major cities such as Washington, DC, Philadelphia and New York offers students further opportunities for exploration.

Students may also tap into the resources of the other schools within Johns Hopkins University, which extends across the Baltimore-Washington region and offers many academic disciplines.

The Department of Health, Behavior and Society offers a doctoral training program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and master's programs leading to the Master of Health Science (MHS) in Social Factors in Health, the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Health Education and Health Communication, and the Master of Science (ScM) in Genetic Counseling.

We invite you to learn more and connect with current students. We wish you the best of luck as you take the first steps in applying to our programs.
