Take Classes as an Alum
If you are a Bloomberg School alum, you have access to several course experiences after you graduate.
OpenCourseWare and Coursera provide free access to content of the School's most popular courses. You can learn more about the Bloomberg School's growing list of online learning and courses. Tutition discounts are also available to alumni for web-based courses on a non-credit basis.

On-Cycle Online Courses
On-cycle, non-credit enrollments give alumni the opportunity to listen to online lectures, participate in group discussions, and interact with faculty and students for a 50 percent tuition discount. To enhance the online experience, participants are be expected to interact fully, and to complete all related course work. See the list of online courses and the terms in which they are offered.
To participate:
- Register for and complete the Introduction to Online Learning course.
- Contact the faculty member of the online course in which you wish to enroll and obtain written permission to participate (email approval is sufficient.)
- Submit via fax the registration form for online course with payment (only credit card payments willbe accepted) to: Philippa Moore, Associate Director, Alumni Affairs, Fax 410.614.2405
- Registrations must be received no later than seven business days prior to the start of a course. Registrations received after that deadline will not be processed.
- After your registration has been processed, there is no provision for a refund or to withdraw from the course.
Approval and access is contingent upon your successful completion of the Introduction to Online Learning, and space availability in the course.
Off-Cycle Online Courses
Alumni may also choose to participate in online courses "off-cycle." Off-cycle enrollment allows students to listen to online lectures, navigate the course website, and access course-related materials without faculty or student interaction. For $100, alumni may access select courses during a defined period for a maximum of eight weeks.
To Participate:
- Register for and complete the Introduction to Online Learning course.
- Submit registration form via fax with payment (only credit card payments will be accepted) to:

- Students may register at any time during the eight-week cycle. However, access to the online course will only continue until the end of cycle date.
After a registration has been processed, there is no provision for refund or to withdraw from the course.
Access is contingent upon your successful completion of the Introduction to Online Learning.
