It’s easy to get wrapped up in your own little world. Our minds are full of tasks that need doing: answer emails, pick up kids, stop at the market, write a fantastic blog post. . .
It’s one of the many things I like about working at the Bloomberg School. I only have to open our website or walk the halls to be reminded of a larger world and the much greater tasks that need doing.
It might be overwhelming if I didn’t also know that great things are being done. Not just here in public health, but across the University.
How do I know? I get regular email updates from the Hub.
The Hub is the center for JHU news and includes articles from all the diverse corners of this great University. Learn a little about particle physics, Ustream the Peabody Symphony or follow Hopkins lacrosse.
You never know when your knowledge of the larger world will help in your own small one. For example, I listened to the symphony as I wrote this blog post.
