Abstract

This comprehensive program recruits dedicated, promising investigators and provides them formal and informal training in multidisciplinary research to develop into independent investigators with expertise in kidney disease research. The Renal Disease Epidemiology Training Program is funded by a National Research Training Award (T32) from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.

The Program is directed by Lawrence Appel, MD, MPH. Michelle M. Estrella, MD, MHS and Jeffrey Fadrowski, MD, MHS serve as Assistant Directors of the Program. While the Program is headquartered at the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology and Clinical Research, the Program involves faculty members and fellows from the Department of Medicine (Divisions of Nephrology and General Internal Medicine) and Department of Pediatrics (Division of Pediatric Nephrology) at the School of Medicine and from the Department of Epidemiology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
