
|  Beginning with his first class at Hopkins, alumnus Olugbenja Obasanjo, MBBS, PhD, MPH '96, knew his approach to health would be forever changed. "My training had focused me on the individual," says Obasanjo, now in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Harvard School of Public Health. At Hopkins, Obasanjo discovered the big picture. "Understanding the complex effects of HIV on the African society and vice versa must take into consideration a very wide range of cultural, economic, environmental and biological factors," he continues. "The lessons of Hopkins still ring true."
