Deidra Crews at the President's Frontier Award Lecture

Deidra Crews, MD, ScM, has become a national leader in the study of chronic kidney disease by examining not just its medical causes and effects, but also the socioeconomic factors that can explain profound racial disparities in who has the condition and how well it is managed. In 2018, she received the $250,000 President’s Frontier Award for her work to transform the care of disadvantaged populations with chronic kidney disease and presented, "The Journey to Kidney Health Equity" during the President's Frontier Award Lecture on December 3, 2018.
