Patient Safety

With support from the National Institute of Mental Health, Johns Hopkins ALACRITY Center Investigators conducted the first in-depth study to characterize patient safety issues that occurred during general medical hospital stays among people with serious mental illness.

ACHIEVE - Weight Loss

With support from a National Institute of Mental Health grant, Johns Hopkins ALACRITY Center researchers conducted a randomized clinical trial evaluating a behavioral weight loss intervention for people with serious mental illness.

IDEAL - Cardiovascular Risk Reduction

IDEAL is a National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute-funded randomized clinical trial evaluating a comprehensive intervention to reduce cardiovascular risk in people with serious mental illness.

Cancer Screening

Through a grant from the Maryland Cigarette Restitution Fund, ALACRITY Center investigators explored rates of cancer screening and barriers and facilitators to cancer screening among people with serious mental illness.

TRIUMPH - Smoking Cessation

TRIUMPH was a National Institute of Mental Health-funded randomized clinical trial testing tailored strategies to help people with serious mental illness quit smoking tobacco while integrating weight management and exercise.

CHAMPION - Healthy Weight for Youth
