Congressman Sarbanes (D-MD) represents the 3rd congressional district, including the Hopkins medical campus.  He discusses the health care reform bill passed by the House on November 7, 2009. Topics include:
  • His attempts to include expansion of preventive and primary care services to children
  • The impact of the Congressional Budget Office estimates on such proposals
  • The No Child Left Aside Act
  • The Stupak–Pitts Amendment to prohibit the use of federal funds to pay for any part of a health plan that includes coverage of abortion
