Chronic Consequences of Trauma, Injuries & Disability

School courtyard

With our partners at Makerere University, we oversaw the development of an MPH program concentration in trauma, injuries, and disability. University trainees were supported for research throughout their MPH programs.

The program is a result of a training grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study trauma, injuries and disabilities in Uganda. Our team has developed a collaborative program that will train a core group of researchers in Uganda to generate relevant data and apply it for the promotion of key national priorities to reduce the growing chronic burden of disability from trauma and injuries across the lifespan.
