Road Safety Legislation

In collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), we’re pleased to offer a free, online course developed to support capacity building in the field of road safety legislation.

The course will allow participants to become familiar with how to develop evidence-based road safety laws and regulations, as well as country-specific examples on how road safety is addressed in the legal sphere. This free, self-paced course is open to anyone interested in road safety legislation.

The course includes four multimedia educational modules, which cover:

  • Basic road safety facts
  • Importance of legislation in road safety
  • Evidence base for key road safety risk factor and post-crash care laws; factors to consider when prioritizing legislative changes
  • How to advocate for improvements, including how to engage media in these efforts
