Please submit your pilot project proposals by November 8, 2019! Awards up to $15,000 for January 2020 - June 2021. The objective of this program is to enhance occupational research training through direct support of research activities.
The ERC offers funding for doctoral students interested in occupational and environmental health in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting. Programs include medicine, nursing, industrial hygiene, biomarkers, injury prevention and epidemiology.
Congratulations to our Director of the Continuing Education Program, Mary Doyle, for being named a member of the NIOSH Board of Scientific Counselors!! The BSC is a federal advisory committee assembled to provide independent advice and guidance to the Director of NIOSH.
The Johns Hopkins Education and Research Center (ERC) for Occupational Safety and Health is a multidisciplinary and interdepartmental program whose objective is to prepare professionals in the field of occupational and environmental safety and health in the areas of research, education, service and policy development.
This center is sponsored by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and includes five academic programs in the areas of occupational and environmental hygiene, occupational and environmental medicine, occupational and environmental health nursing, occupational epidemiology and biomarkers, occupational injury epidemiology and prevention. A pilot project research training program and continuing education/outreach are also offered.
