Our Priority Injury Topics

The Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy has four priority injury topics:

  1. Home Safety
  2. Substance Misuse and Overdose
  3. Transportation Safety
  4. Violence against Women

These represent the Center's primary areas of subject matter expertise and reflect the injury-related topics that we believe will have the greatest return on investments in research, training and education, and outreach in terms of lives saved and quality of life improved.

Our Populations of Special Interest

The Center has identified five populations of special interest:

  1. Children and Adolescents
  2. Older Adults
  3. Populations affected by Health Disparities
  4. Military and Veterans
  5. Trauma Survivors
