Community Advisory Board

The Center is supported by a thirty-member advisory board made up of community members and health professionals. The Advisory Board meets as a group four times a year (January, April, July, and October). Members include representatives from community-based organizations, neighborhood associations, universities, government agencies, as well as patients and doctors.

Community input is vital to the success of the Center. Center faculty and staff look to the community for advice at every stage of development. In addition to attending the quarterly meetings, members serve on committees to help Center faculty and staff in project development.

If you are interested in more information about the Community Advisory Board, contact Dr. Chidinma Ibe, the Center’s new Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Manager, at

New Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Manager

Chidinma Ibe, PhD has accepted the role of Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Manager with the Center. Dr. Ibe is an Assistant Scientist in the School of Public Health, and will be continuing her role as a co-investigator while taking on additional responsibilities in managing our work with the community, our valued stakeholders. She will be assuming her duties slowly as she winds down work on another project, but by July will be with us four days a week. We know she will be an asset to the team.
