Sameer Siddiqi, BS, is a third year doctoral student in the Department of Health Policy and Management. He earned a BS in Biology from the University of Houston. Prior to entering graduate school, Sameer spent several years at U.S. National Institutes of Health, where he worked on inter-agency initiatives related to obesity and nutrition. His interests focus on implementation science issues in the context of domestic food policies, particularly those related to food waste. He is also interested in knowledge exchange and partnership strategies to advance the impact of public health research on food system policy. Sameer’s doctoral advisor is Dr. Shannon Frattaroli in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
