Global Roadmap for Child Survival

On June 14th and 15th in Washington DC, leaders from around the globe will gather at the Child Survival Call to Action to launch a road map for ending preventable child deaths within a generation. The aim of the summit is to ensure that every child has the same opportunity for a fifth birthday, and a future beyond childhood, and thereby end one of the most obvious social injustices in the world today.

Research by the International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC) at Johns Hopkins shows that by tackling just four diseases in the 24 countries with 80% of the world's under-five child deaths, using six available and proven interventions, we can eliminate a majority of the world’s 5.6 million annual, preventable child deaths by 2015.

Please use and share the infographic below and help us spread the word that these ambitious goals are worth achieving.
