Updated Course for Healthcare Professionals Released

The Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC) unveiled an updated version of the free online course Learning from the Experts: A Course for Healthcare Professionals. This important tool lets healthcare professionals expand their knowledge about tobacco control issues to benefit their patients, their communities and beyond.

IGTC, based in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, developed the class to allow healthcare professionals to get more involved in helping people quit tobacco, providing the best practices in international tobacco control, as well as highlighting the latest developments in combating the tobacco industry. 

The course has completely updated content about key tobacco control issues presented in a new, engaging design. Participants can access the course modules on the device of their choice at a time convenient for them. The course content was developed with the help of global subject matter experts to provide the highest-quality learning experience. 

The interactive nature of the course brings together audio clips, images, tabs, panels, assessments, animations, and videos to let busy healthcare professionals learn at their own pace.

The course also features alternate text versions and transcripts to provide full accessibility for all content.
