RISE – Resilience In Stressful Events

  • PI:                     Albert Wu, M.D., M.P.H.
  • Funder:            Maryland Patient Safety Center
  • Status:              Ongoing

This project is evaluating the Johns Hopkins Hospital peer-support program to provide psychological first aid and emotional support to health care workers who are “second victims” of stressful patient-related events, including errors and adverse events.  The program has been expanded in collaboration with the Maryland Patient Safety Center on a “Caring for the Caregiver” program to promote dissemination to hospitals across the region.
