Organization

Comstock Center Director reports to the Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Center welcomes principal investigators who obtain funding for studies based in Washington County and assume primary responsibility for directing the operations of their studies. 

The Center’s Executive Committee directs the strategic directions, and is advised by a group of scientific advisors and a group of community advisors. Dr. Kala Visvanathan, an oncologist and epidemiologist, coordinates the cancer research activities. Dr. Coresh coordinates cardiovascular studies. Ms. Melissa Minotti directs the center operations.
