The Center for Interpersonal Capacity in Health Care

The Center has two main activities at present (Summer 2010):

  • Building mental health capacity in pediatric primary care
This work is currently funded by two grants from the US National Institute of Mental Health:
    1. A pilot project training "medical assistants" to improve the detection and management of children's mental health problems in multi-cultural primary care settings
    2. A newly established "developing" Center for Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care. The new center, a collaboration of several departments and institutions, is dedicated to developing new means for delivering evidence-based mental health care to children and adolescents through primary care
  • Building youth and community media capacity
