HIPAA Certification

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was enacted in 1996 to ensure the privacy and protection of personal health information. HIPAA set boundaries on the use and release of health records, and determined necessary safeguards for health care providers and others to use in order to protect the privacy of health information.
