Student Vision Insurance
Starting in 2018, all Johns Hopkins students will have access to vision insurance through the university.
If you are a Doctoral Student in the School of Public Health and the School currently funds your health insurance coverage under the Student Health Plan administered by EHP, the university will also fund vision insurance for you and you will be automatically enrolled. All Postdoctoral Students will also be automatically enrolled in the vision plan
If you are a Doctoral Student in the School of Public Health and are responsible for the cost of your health insurance premium, you can voluntarily enroll in the vision plan.
All other JHSPH Masters students can voluntarily enroll in the vision plan.
The premiums are $59.00 for the year. There is no cost to add your family to the vision plan.
To enroll yourself (if applicable) and/or a spouse and dependents in the vision plan, please complete this form no later than September 30, 2018. Regardless of when you submit the form, the coverage will begin on September 1, 2018. Vision ID cards will be mailed to you. However, if you need to access your benefits right away, you can access your ID card after registering on the EyeMed website. When registering, please use your Hopkins ID in place of the Member ID in order to create an account. You can find your Hopkins ID number in the Student Information System (SIS) or the Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED).
More information about the plans, including coverage details, is available on the Student Health Benefits Plan website and in the linked brochure below. Contact information for other questions is also provided below.
