About the Program

The purpose of the LEARNED program is to foster community and belonging among PhD students and postdoctoral fellows from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups through facilitating networking and enhancing professional development. The Program provides participants with critical resources for ensuring both academic and professional success via didactic seminars and workshops focused on developing skills and materials for future employment opportunities while simultaneously developing a powerful network of faculty and research professionals from similar backgrounds. Additionally, the program cultivates the social experience of students and postdocs from historically underrepresented groups by emphasizing participants' well-being during matriculation and training.
