Interested in recruiting Bloomberg students and alumni? The Career Services Office looks forward to working with you to develop a recruitment strategy that meet your organization’s needs.  Review the below information to learn more about the various ways you can connect. If you are interested in hosting an event or have questions, please contact our Assistant Director, Employer Relations, CJ Neely, at cj.neely@jhu.edu.

Information Sessions

Market your company and job opportunities to students and alumni either on-campus or virtually. Information sessions are typically hour-long events held during lunch-time when no classes are scheduled to meet. Alternatively, information sessions can be scheduled after 5:00 pm after many classes have finished for the day. The Career Services Office can provide a conference room, audio visual equipment, parking passes, and targeted emails to promote your event.

Career Fair

Network with students and alumni at our annual Public Health Career Fair, which is held on the first Friday of March. You’ll connect with top-tier Masters and Doctoral students, postdocs, and alumni from several degree programs and fields of study.

The 35th Annual Public Health Career Fair will be on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 10am-3pm.

On-campus interviews

Interviewing on campus is an easy and convenient way to recruit talented students for internships and professional career positions. On-Campus Interviews can be scheduled September-May between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. There is no charge for utilizing the interviewing facilities at the school, and our office will collaborate with you to ensure everything is ready upon your arrival.

Career Treks

Host a group of students at your office for an informational visit.  This unique opportunity provides students insight into an organization’s culture, mission, and vision. In the past, treks have included employer presentations, panel discussions, meetings with executives, or Q&A sessions.

Public Health Exchange (PHX) Sessions

Connect with students interested in your industry or organization through short, individual meetings. Rather than a recruiting event, the Public Health Exchange (PHX) Sessions are a way to build your brand on campus and provide students the opportunity to meet with a professional in their field of interest in a less formal, informational interview setting. Employer representatives can include recruiters, partners, managers, or Bloomberg School alumni.

Special Topic Talks & Career Panels

Share your insights and industry knowledge with students by hosting a special topic talk or participating in a career panel.
