IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis and Treatment (web article)

This week, the International AIDS Society is holding its third Conference on HIV Pathogenesis and Treatment in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. On July 25, Ronald Gray, MD, the William G. Robertson Professor of Population and Family Planning at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, presented the talk What Will It Take to Control the Epidemic?, which highlighted some of the lessons learned from efforts to reduce HIV transmission in Rakai, Uganda. Also on July 25, Chris Beyrer, MD, MPH, associate professor and director, Johns Hopkins Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program at the Bloomberg School, took part in a news conference to open the event and Plenary:Global Responses.
