Amy Winter, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Amy Winter is a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in the Department of Epidemiology. She is interested in characterizing and leveraging the complex interaction between human demography and infectious disease dynamics for disease control.  Her current research focuses on exploring strategies for measles and rubella control and elimination using modeling and serological data. At IVAC, she works on the Strengthening Immunization Systems through Serosurveillance (SISS) project. As a member of the Vaccine Impact Modeling Consortium, she conducts rubella transmission modeling to project global disease burden and vaccine impact. Dr. Winter completed her PhD in Demography at Princeton University (2016) and MPH at Emory University (2011).
