Project Coordinator & Communications Specialist

Amelia is a Project Coordinator and Communications Specialist at IVAC. Her current projects at IVAC include Sustaining Access to Vaccination in India (SAVI), Rotavirus Organization of Technical Allies (ROTA), and a project supporting Gavi-transitioning countries in evidence-based immunization decision-making (CHOICES). Amelia’s work and interests focus on providing technical and advocacy support for the introduction and acceptance of vaccines and other public health measures in low- and middle-income countries. Previously, Amelia conducted research in South Africa exploring factors hindering the uptake of preventative measures against TB and HIV coinfections. Amelia holds an MSPH in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control and certificate in Vaccine Science and Policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a BS in Public Health Science from the University of Maryland, College Park.
