Regional Prospective Observational Research in Tuberculosis (RePORT): c-TRIUMPh: Cohort for Tuberculosis Research by the Indo-US Medical Partnership Collaboratively funded by the US NIH, India’s Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and Indian Council of Medical Research, the Cohort for TB Research by the Indo-US Medical Partnership (C-TRIUMPH) is a regional Indo-US research consortium that is part of RePORT India, a countrywide consortium for TB research. RePORT India is a member of a multilateral consortium (RePORT International) whose mission is to advance TB science, strengthen TB research capacity and infrastructure, and foster international collaboration among TB researchers. C-TRIUMPH is establishing three cohorts composed of approximately 1200 TB patients, their household contacts (n~3,200) and controls (n~500) to study host and microbial factors associated with TB transmission, disease progression and treatment outcomes. It is a multidisciplinary initiative involving leading socio-behavioral, epidemiology, clinical and basic science researchers to address host and microbial factors associated with 1) Poor response to TB treatment, 2) Progression to active TB disease and 3) TB transmission/acquisition
