Central and Eastern Europe Health Reform


Summary

The Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) Euro-Atlantic Action Commission requested that Hopkins assess the healthcare systems in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The objectives of this project were: 1) Increase awareness of global solutions for priority problems in health care in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) 2) Assist in planning and implementing reforms in their health care systems 3) Identify possible areas of joint cooperation among the participants and 4) Improve communication channels with CEE health care experts and researchers.
