Improving the Validity of Reported Sexual Behaviors Including Partner Concurrency in South Africa

Summary

This study seeks to explore characteristics of sexual partner concurrency, construct an instrument to measure concurrency, and test the measure’s validity and reliability among heterosexual couples in Soweto, South Africa.

This project is funded by Research to Prevention (R2P), a 5-year HIV prevention program funded by USAID. R2P (www.jhsph.edu/r2p) is led by the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health and implemented by faculty throughout the University. It is managed by the Center for Communication Programs (CCP) in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
