SHS Exposure among Women and Children

Summary

The purpose of the study was to assess exposures of women and children to secondhand smoke (SHS) in 31 countries. A common protocol was used to generate a global profile of SHS exposure and estimate the associated risks to women and children worldwide, and to generate locally relevant and useful data in order to support more progressive smoke-free policies and programs aimed at reducing SHS exposure.
