EXACT - EXposure Assessment in Current Time

Baltimore, MD, United States

Summary

As part of NIH''s Genes-Environment Initiative, the Exposure Biology Program has invested heavily in developing technology and field tools able to more accurately characterize ''environmental'' exposures. The EXACT study is a unique partnership between the ALIVE study and the NIDA Intramural Research Program. Using electronic diaries and GPS devices, we employ EMA (ecological momentary assessment) methods to quantify individual and neighborhood level exposures to psychosocial stress and illicit drug use in near real time.
