Empowerment, Voice and Accountability for Better Health and Nutrition
Pakistan is a top priority for the UK government and DFID’s aim is to ensure a stable and prosperous Pakistan. In the health sector, DFID Pakistan (DFIDP) focuses on reproductive, maternal, new-born and child health (RMNCH) including nutrition with the aim of supporting effective implementation of health sector strategies that will lead to achievement of the health Millennium Development Goals. DFIDP wishes to appoint a supplier to implement a sub-component of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Pakistan on Provincial Health and Nutrition Programme; Empowerment, Voice and Accountability (EVA), in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. Strand One of the requirement is on EVA, and suppliers must demonstrate innovative approaches to delivering this output, and also demonstrate how their intervention is maximising the impact of DFID’s programme. Strand Two is a Health and Nutrition Innovation Fund, where suppliers must demonstrate ways in which their intervention is maximising the coverage of the Fund. The contract will be issued for 4 years, with a 4 month inception phase, and full implementation will be subject to DFID''s approval of inception deliverables, including forward work plans for the remainder of the contract. Suppliers are invited to complete the pre-qualification questionnaire, and a maximum of 8 suppliers will then be invited to the second stage.
