Economic Evaluation of Community Distribution of Zinc for the Treatment of Diarrhea in India, Mali and Pakistan
Building on the multi-center community trial in India, Mali and Pakistan that is introducing zinc therapy of diarrhea on a medium-to-large scale via health workers, this study proposes to add a component to these three project sites to track costs and make estimates of the cost-effectiveness of the intervention, as compared to the control area and other estimates present within the literature. This study will address the need for costing data as they relate to the therapeutic delivery of zinc for the treatment of diarrhea in children at the community level.
