Understanding the dynamics of arbovirus transmission in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh

Summary

We conducted population-based studies over 4 years to identify the seroprevalence of dengue, Chikungunya and Japanese encephalitis in Bangladesh, and included vector surveys and human movement measurements to understand how human mobility influences individual, household, and community-level risk for infection. In total, we sampled 160 communities and approximately 9000 people during 2014 - 2017. Our analyses aim to generate novel insights into the burden of these diseases and strategies for prevention.
