Overview
My broad research interests center on maternal and child health and nutrition in low- and middle-income countries. I am interested in developing and promoting interventions to address the prenatal origins of growth faltering, along with those that improve growth and development in the early years of life. I am currently working on a balanced-protein energy supplementation trial among pregnant and lactating women in rural Nepal to assess its effects on birth outcomes and child growth.

I am also interested in addressing risk factors outside of nutrition, including enteric infections and the home environment to improve child growth and development outcomes.
