Overview

I have an interest in the social, behavioral and structural aspects of health—both internationally and domestically. My research objectives are focused on understanding how environmental factors—physical, social, policy and economic—influence health behaviors and outcomes; and understanding people’s experiences of health and illness to develop interventions that improve health outcomes. My research studies have looked at improving the sexual and reproductive health of women and men living with HIV; increasing access to HIV care and treatment; and mitigating the risks associated with injection drug use.
