My research is dedicated to the field of epidemiologic assessment of infectious disease and health among vulnerable populations, including men who have sex with men, sex workers, and refugees, displaced, and stateless populations. I have specific interest in developing measures and methods to assess risks, outcomes and effective health interventions for these populations. My interests include epidemiological and intervention research related to violence, stigma, disparities in healthcare access, and infectious disease, particularly HIV infection; implementation science methods for key populations; and capacity building among local community-based partners. I have engaged in past and research in Russia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, Cote d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Peru.
