Gregory Wm. Branch, MD, MBA, CPE
Gregory Wm. Branch, MD, MBA, CPE, is director of the Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services and health officer of the Baltimore County Department of Health. He serves as president of the Maryland Association of County Health Officers.
A board-certified internist, Dr. Branch has practiced medicine for over 20 years. He has held multiple positions during that time, including: lead physician and medical director of Laboratory Services at the Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corporation, chief medical officer of Gerald Family Care in Washington, D.C., medical director at Baltimore Medical System and chief medical officer for Maryland Physicians Care (Medicaid) and the Maryland Health Insurance Program.
He is on the part-time General Internal Medicine faculty at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
A Certified Physician Executive, Dr. Branch graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the William Osler Internal Medicine Residency Program. He earned an MBA from the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business.
He is the executive director and co-founder of Unified Voices of Johns Hopkins (community gospel choir), and president and chairman of the Board of Directors for Project P.L.A.S.E. (People Lacking Ample Shelter and Employment).
