Master of Health Science (MHS) in Demography

The MHS in Demography program includes a set of core departmental courses that provides a common theoretical foundation for the work of the entire Department. The MHS in Demography does not require students to have a doctoral degree. These courses include biological / developmental; demographic; and social science foundations. MHS in Demography students in Population, Family and Reproductive Health also complete a set of specialized courses in demographic theories and quantitative demographic analysis. In addition to coursework, students are required to complete an original essay of publishable quality based on secondary data analysis. (See Essay Titles)

Graduates combine prior experience and educational training to pursue careers in policy, research, and advocacy in government, nongovernmental organizations, and academic institutions. (See link for Employment Placements)
