Women's HealthVision Statement

We use a psycho-social and bio-behavioral approach to understand women’s health and women's health disparities in developed and developing countries throughout their life course. We apply a gender lens to explore and explain biological vulnerabilities, social disparities and inequalities that affect the health and well-being of women in general populations, as well as those uniquely marginalized.

Our work focuses on maternal health, women’s sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence and related inequities and their intersection with physical and mental health

The Women's Health Research Group (WHRG), an interdisciplinary collaborative across the Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, grew in 2018 into the Johns Hopkins Center for Women's Health, Sex, and Gender Differences.
