Dr. Babayeva is the Deputy Medical Director, overseeing 16 Private Medical Centers that provide medical services to the oil industry.  She is responsible for the oversight and management of emergency programs including emergency surgery, ambulatory services & hospitalization services.  As a Humphrey Fellow, her focus is on environmental health research designed to improve working conditions and reduce health risks due to chemical exposure.


Mohamed El HayatmyMohamed El Hayatmy, MD, Egypt

Dr. El Hayatmy is an Ophthalmologist, with 23 years of experience.  He has been Director of Health Sector Reform for last 7 years, working for better service and sustainable finance to improve the overall quality of health care.  As a Humphrey Fellow, he is interested in projects related to health policy reform, quality of healthcare and prevention of blindness in developing countries.


Karen D. Lewis-BellKaren D. Lewis-Bell, MD, Jamaica

Dr. Lewis Bell is the Director of Family Health Services in Jamaica.  She has more than 16 years of experience in public health, implementing health programs & developing operational guidelines.  As a Humphrey Fellow she is interested in exploring public health policy development related to family health in order to improve service delivery standards & reduce morbidity rate in developing countries.


Raimundas LuneviciusRaimundas Lunevicius, MD, Lithuania

Dr. Lunevicius is a gastrointestinal surgeon and Professor of general surgery with more than 20 years experience. He is deputy chief of a large emergency medical hospital and leads the trauma team.  As a Humphrey Fellow, he is interested in learning more about management and policy development and implementation for Level I Trauma Centers and Trauma Teams, as practiced in most prominent trauma centers.


Naomi MasilamanyNaomi Masilamany, MSS, BS, Malaysia

Ms. Masilamany is a Medical Social Worker, who leads the Social Work Department of a prominent district hospital. She has been involved in policy reform, program development focusing on recognition of contribution of their social work profession. As a Humphrey Fellow, she is interested in medical social work job standards, regulations, and programs focusing on social work initiatives in Gerontology, Rehabilitation and Crisis Intervention.


María Rivas-JuradoMaría Rivas-Jurado, MPH, El Salvador

Mrs. Rivas Jurado is a clinical laboratory professional with extensive experience leading testing in HIV, immunology, bacteriology, coprology, and hematology at a prominent maternal health hospital. As a Humphrey Fellow, she intends to focus on HIV/AIDS education programs designed to improve standards of health education of minority and under-privileged populations.


Edgar Pozo OréEdgar Pozo Oré, BS, MA, Perú

Mr. Pozo Oré has worked in implementing social development programs and has been involved in strategic planning and reform of local governments in the Andean Region of Peru in relation to rural public health policy.  As a Humphrey Fellow, he is interested in exploring programs and activities that provide opportunties to improve policy making and performance of health systems.
